Do I need my original deeds?

Wondering if you need the original deeds to be able to sell your house? Whilst you don’t necessarily need your original deeds, as quite often they are actually held by your mortgage provider. We do actually have access to the Land Registry and therefore we can download our own up-to-date fresh copies.
